Bulgarian Orthodox Church St. John of Rila
We provided structural engineering design for both the temporary and permanent works on this project, delivering the construction of St John of Rila Bulgarian Orthodox Church in London.
Our scope covered the full structural design of the permanent works, ensuring the building's foundations, structural frame, and fabric meet the demands of its architectural form while respecting the traditional character of Orthodox church design. Alongside this, we developed the temporary works strategy, including propping, shoring, and sequencing solutions, to support safe construction throughout the build.
This dual responsibility allowed us to coordinate closely between design intent and site execution, ensuring the permanent structure could be built safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
